How it works
From a phone number to a booked supper
Here is the Halvorsens' first week. Mira and Per have two kids, Sig and Liv, and a supper club on Maple Street. (They're made up, like every family on this site.)
-
Sign in with a phone number
Mira types her number and gets a six-digit code by text. There is no password. If her number is already in potluck.club, she joins her household in one tap.
-
Name the household, add who's in it
"The Halvorsens": Mira, Per, Sig (7) and Liv (4). For Per, the app makes a join link that Mira sends him herself. Once he's in, both adults see the same Home, lists and calendar.
-
Bring in what the household already has
The family forwards its email to the household's own address, or connects the family Gmail (in beta). School notes become tasks on Home, and a login code shows to both adults for its 15 minutes. Mira connects her own calendar at "titles", so the family calendar shows her day without the details.
-
Ask jia
In the family chat, anyone tags jia to add or ask. jia files it, and anything another household would see waits as a card for a person to tap.

Offer some dates
It's the Halvorsens' turn to host the Maple Street Supper Club. Mira offers three Saturdays and pastes one link into the group's chat. The Navarros and the Okonkwos mark what works, with no account needed to vote.
-
Gather
After 48 hours the date is booked. Each household RSVPs and picks a dish, and the hosts see the allergies each household chose to share with hosts. The day before, a reminder goes to each adult who turned on notifications.
